Why I'm Here...

M.Sc. Wind Engineer. Writing about wind energy, sustainability and policy from the inside. No greenwashing. Just the real stuff. Welcome to Wind Her Way!

I wrote a blog for two years. Consistently, regularly, with genuine passion. It was called Mechnflow and it was about mechanical engineering. Then in 2021 — I stopped.

Not because I ran out of things to say. Life simply arrived all at once.

My thesis. Job applications. Interviews. The particular exhaustion of finishing one chapter of your life while trying to start another. And then a move — from Denmark to the United Kingdom — which sounds straightforward until you're the one doing it. New city. New colleagues. New everything. No friends yet. Just yourself and a lot of adjusting.

Then I met someone. Then that someone proposed. Then there was a wedding to plan, a marriage to begin, a life to build together.

I don't regret any of it. But the writing kept getting quietly pushed to the back of the queue.

What changed?

I volunteer with an organisation called ReadEasy. I coach adults who never learned to read. One of my readers — a grown woman, perfectly capable in every other area of her life — decided she was finally going to learn. And she showed up. Every single session. For nearly two years. Until one day she could read fluently.

I was supposed to be the one giving something. But she gave me something I didn't expect — proof that showing up consistently, even when it's uncomfortable, even when progress feels invisible, is the only thing that actually works.

So here I am.

Wind Her Way is the next chapter. I'm an M.Sc. Wind Engineer from DTU and I've spent years thinking carefully about energy (mainly wind), sustainability, and policy without saying any of it out loud to the world. That changes now.

I'll write about wind energy — the real engineering behind it, not the headlines. About sustainability policy and what it actually means in practice. About living greener with an engineering brain rather than a guilty conscience.

Welcome to Wind Her Way!
